Though AIT is discredited, it is still trumpeted by some people, and is still not completely dead.

Ah, thanks. I wonder why textbooks in India still term it an "invasion", but I guess that's another long sad story...

rohan, no one believes in the "invasion" theory any more. the current trend is "migration" theory and in some cases "trickle down" theory.

The Aryan Invasion Theory was discredited and discarded
Is this true? I thought consensus was (still) the opposite...

Problem is that even while proving proofs for why the other person's theory is wrong, historians go full steam ahead and do a 'psyche-evaluation' of their subject, the person they are criticizing and with a flourish, declare that the person's upbringing, friends, and views on another subject are responsible for the conclusions of the person's theory.

Whats more, many like Witzel use their wit and sarcastic ability to provide multiple false targets to the enemy and many times succeed in subconsciously selling their central point through to people, even if its weakly supported.

The need of the situation is to completely ignore their rants and heckling-- like comments in a block of code, break down their theory using cold logic and unopposable data, and most importantly, stop ourselves from heckling the opponent back. Every syllable in our theory and our replies must be spent in either support our central thesis or provide proof against theirs.
