There was a time conversions were conducted on the poor. Those days are gone now. The Telugu’s are converting to Xianity on their own volition. Andhra will soon be a majority Xian state due to the American Evangelists. So are the upper classes in Delhi. Hindus have driven a wedge in this country with their caste system paving the way for conversions. These are facts. Get used to conversions. Nothing can stop it now!

Kalidas, Temur was born as a Muslim and Kublai Khan was not. I guess that’s the reason for the different attitudes.

To me, it’s always one way though. Eventually a weak will convert and that’s all it takes. Islamists are very good at it too. Both groups go after the more venerable and it usually gets results. There is a reason why they grow so fast. Eventually of course people get over the silliness of Abrahamic religions, but people don’t go back to the old ways. And lot is lost in the meanwhile.

Does anybody here know how the switch occurred in mentality from Kublai Khan to Temur Lang who was also a Mongol, but a known Islamic bigot?

Or was Temur Lang a pseudo Mongol

Excellent post. Really enlightening about the efforts made by the Church to convert the heads so that a headway could be made into the society.

Reminds one of the (many) conversion attempts that were made discreetly (and not too often so) to Gandhi and Ambedkar. Agree with their policies or not, every Indian should be grateful for the former to mock openly at all such attempts, and the latter for converting to an Indic religion, rather than an Abrahamic one.
