Recently in Kashmore some 20 armed personnel allegedly attacked villagers with rocket launchers, rifles and other automatic weapons at a bus-stand, leaving 15 people dead including a Hindu woman, and kidnapped nine villagers including threeHindus. "The armed men threatened the Hindu communities of Kashmore and Thul talukas to either leave the towns or face the consequences," said a local journalist who was present at the incident.

Regardless of Gujarat, Indian Muslims are much happier to be in India than Hindus in Pakistan. No matter how much they may preach about treating minorities equally, non-Muslims are automatic second-class citizens by the virtue of their faith.

Niraj, True, just look at the acheievements of Indian Muslims. Abdul Kalam, A R Rahman, all the Khans in the movie industry, MF Hussain, the writers, Azharuddin, being able to be the captain of the national team.

Pakistan is ruled by fanatics. I really wonder what the public thinks there. I have yet to find a Pakistani Muslim journalist criticize the ruling junta for their fanaticism. Of course Hindus and other religious minorities are persecuted there. And this can not happen without large scale public support.And USA is blind to all this. In fact it is USA that is to blame for the rise of international terrorism. The terrorists are going to turn on the USA someday in a big way.Remember Bhasmasur and Lord Shiva's parable? And USA is not Lord Shiva, it is not going to survive the weight of its own crime on the humanity, and the terrorists are also going to find themselves rotting in hell.

I don't think we should oppose Muslims. The Pakistani government is doing all this, and I'm sure the Pakistani people do not think this way about Hindus in their country. Muslims are humans, just like us, and Pakistanis are humans. We should not treat them inhumanely.
