Ancient site discovered in Bihar
They have found a 3500-year-old site in Pandavsthan village and some 2,000 artifacts that are said to date to around 1500-2000 B.C. Pandavsthan's residents always believed their village got its name from the Mahabharata and that the Pandavas spent some time here.
"We covered more than 100 hectares. We have found garden structures and field structures as described in the epic, and we found Babylonian houses."
The Epic of Gilgamesh, written 2000 years before Buddha, has a flood story similar to the one in Indian mythology, where Manu builds a boat and carries animals to safety.

Appended to this monograph is a reading of the first line of Sohgaura Copper Plate Inscription composed mostly of Sarasvati hieroglyphs.
The line relates to the facilities (together with a pair of kos.t.ha_ga_ra, storehouses) provided to itinerant metalsmiths of artisan guilds at the junction of three highways.
Ib is the shortest name of any Railway Station; it is on Nagpur-Howrah rail-route. Ib means 'iron' (Santali). Ib is not far from
jharsagud.a the land the Great Maha_vi_ra walked.
Lohgar.h is the name of a place on the banks of River Sarasvati in Yamunanagar district north of the Siwalik ranges. At this place, the
District Collector licenses gold-panners even today. No wonder, Sarasvati was called hiran.yavartani_.
