Lost Discoveries

Shashi Tharoor has a review of the book Lost Discoveries by Dick Teresi, which studies the ancient non-Western foundations of modern science. In this article Tharoor writes about the sciences in which our ancestors excelled. These include planetary astronomy, chemistry, physics, steel making, printing and paper making, and ship building.

Niraj:

Great post. Are you having problems pinging? I'm not picking-up your updates through blogrolling.com

JK:

Niraj, This is the error in my activity log

Ping 'http://rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2' failed: HTTP error: 500 read timeout

It has been failing for the past few days. Do I need to do anything

Niraj:

No, the problem it is at their end. It has happened to me, too. You seem fine now. Just double-checking!

JK, add this to the urls to ping in your trackback - http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/ - this pings blogrolling.com directly, so you don't have to rely on Weblogs.com
