Narayanan simply moved into the job later.Then there is T K A Nair, principal secretary to the PM, a post which had assumed intoxicating power when Brajesh Mishra occupied the post during A B Vajpayee??s time. Nair, a former Punjab cadre IAS officer, was handpicked by Dr Singh when they served together in the bureaucracy.
The present RAW (our CIA) chief Hormis Tharakan is a Kerala cadre IPS officer??he was pulled out from the state where he was DGP. The Secretary to President A P J Abdul Kalam is Madhavan Nair??he was former Secretary, Defence Production [Quietly, the Malayalee takes over]
And the article has list of more Mallus in power and says that Malayalees are known for their, unwavering sincerity, efficiency, devotion and hard work. But one important Malayali is left out. For all those who are afraid that India will leap foward into prosperity, there is Prakash Karat, now heading the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to apply the brakes.

So many Mallus in power but not one Marwari, I guess we rather be businessmen than politicians.

Instead of condemning this caste based/language based jokes, let me support your view with one of my real encounter. In a shopping mall (in USA) some guy came across to me, said hi and threw a question ??Looks like you are from kerala?. To my surprised, his explanation was quite strange ??because you did not shave?. This guy turned out to be from Amway (network marketing), who leave no stone unturned to strike a conversation. No matter how stupid they prove themselves sometimes. Well I had to tell him about my malyali friend who shaves regularly. I am proud of any state of India and Kerala is one of them (being most beautiful).

I followed the hyperlink to an utterly distateful area in blogosphere. I think this is the dark underbelly of blogosphere. This Xenophobe called Ravikiran seems to think he is the undisputed king of this realm. I did not leave any comments to any of his rabid rantings cos people like him are best ignored.
This man needs to see a shrink....fast!
